Welcome to Map My Pay! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Map My Pay platform, including the website, mobile app, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Map My Pay, you confirm that:

- If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you may need parental or legal guardian consent to use certain features of the platform, depending on your jurisdiction.
- You have the authority to enter into these Terms.
- You understand and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

- Scrape, hack, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract data from any part of the platform.
- Attempt to access other users’ private data without permission.
- Upload viruses, malware, or other malicious code.
- Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to access or interact with the platform.
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users.
- Use the platform for commercial purposes without our written consent.
4. Data Accuracy and Limitations
While we make every effort to provide accurate and up-to-date salary and cost-of-living data, you acknowledge that:
- Salary and cost-of-living information is based on publicly available data, user contributions, and third-party sources.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information.
- You should use the information as a reference and not as financial, legal, or professional advice.
- Tax calculations are estimates and may not reflect your actual tax liability.
- We are not responsible for financial decisions you make based on our data.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Subscription Plans
Map My Pay offers free and paid subscription plans:
- Map My Pay Plus: $6.99/month or $69.99/year
- Map My Pay Pro: $12.99/month or $129.99/year
Auto-Renewal Terms
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Subscription fees are charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account.
- Prices may vary by location and are subject to change with prior notice.
Managing Subscriptions
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings or Google Play Account.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- You will retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period.
Refunds
- Subscription fees are generally non-refundable.
- Refunds may be available as required by applicable law or at our discretion.

6. Intellectual Property
All content and materials on Map My Pay, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, algorithms, and data compilations, are the property of Map My Pay or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

- Copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce any part of the platform without our express written permission.
- Use our logo, branding, or trademarks without our consent.
- Create derivative works based on our platform or content.
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
7. User-Generated Content
If you post or submit content on Map My Pay (such as salary data, comments, reviews, or images):
- You retain ownership of your original content.
- You grant Map My Pay a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, distribute, and modify your content for platform operation and improvement.
- We may remove or modify content that violates these Terms, our community guidelines, or applicable laws.
- You are responsible for ensuring your content doesn’t violate others’ rights or applicable laws.
- No compensation will be provided for user-generated content.
Community Guidelines
When posting content:
- Keep posts relevant to nursing careers and salary discussions.
- Be respectful and professional in your interactions.
- Do not share personal contact information publicly.
- Do not post discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate content.
- Hide personal identifying information in any uploaded images.

- We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of these third-party services.

- Map My Pay will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages.
- Our total liability for any claim related to your use of the platform will not exceed the amount you paid for our Services in the 12 months prior to the claim.
- In no event will our liability exceed $100, regardless of the theory of liability.
This limitation applies even if:
- We have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- The limited remedies fail of their essential purpose.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Map My Pay, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

- Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Sacramento, California.
- Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class actions.

We may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations or other urgent matters.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements.

- The updated Terms will be posted with a new “Effective Date.”
- Your continued use of Map My Pay after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Map My Pay.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to any affiliate or successor.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
17. Marketing Communications
By creating an account on Map My Pay, you consent to receive newsletters, promotional offers, and other marketing communications from us by email. You will have the option to unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included in every marketing email you receive or by updating your communication preferences in your account settings. Opting out will not affect transactional or service-related emails that are necessary for your account.
